About Songs for You

The original songs on this web site have been written or co-written by Neil Preston who has been writing songs since 1975 and plays guitar, keyboards and bass.

Neil started his playing career in a punk rock band in 1976, which later changed to Heavy Metal, New Wave, then New Romantic in the early 80s, followed by rock, pop/funk fusion and pop bands.

In latter years the emphasis has been very much on songwriting for other people and for personal enjoyment. The songs are recorded using Cubase on a PC.
